The New Ford Fiesta

For 2009, Ford has prepared an important offensive on the market of small city cars, launching the 2009 version of the already classic Ford Fiesta.

Officially presented at the 2008 auto saloon from Geneva, it is more than likely that the New Fiesta will become a best seller despite of the difficult times the auto industry is facing.

Interestingly, Ford have decided to offer the New Fiesta to the North American market also and it seems that it is one of the most expected cars of this year in a country where SUVs with big engines still rule the highways. The greatest surprise Ford has offered is the design of the new model that continues the lines of the "Kinetic Design" that started with the Iosis concept, the Mondeo and the European version of the Focus. Definitely this is greatest step forward compared to the old model that was kind of boring and dull. The interior is also far better, although it has quite a radical styling. Being a small city car, the Fiesta was not designed for impressive performances and most of the engines are oriented towards a small fuel consumption. However, there is a new unit, the 1.6 Ti-VCT that comes with 120 HP and makes the small model surprisingly agile and fun to drive.
