Porsche Panamera

After they broke the tradition of building pure sports cars with the Cayenne SUV, Porsche is on the way towards another premiere, building a four door sports coupe. Of course, this may sound awful to sports cars passionate, but on their way to profit, Porsche officials are not willing to listen to any complaints.

The Porsche Panamera is supposed to be revealed to the whole world on April 19th, at the International Auto Saloon from Shanghai. However, the specialized press and the Internet are already full with details of the future Gran Turismo. Spy shots revealed quite a weird exterior design, although it still holds key elements for a Porsche, like the specific form of the head lamps. The new model will also come with new V6 and V8 engines that will be capable of providing between 300 HP and 500 HP, more than enough for the body that should not weigh too much. The Panamera comes with rear traction for basic models and only the top version comes with 4WD. Porsche has not revealed any official information related to the prices of the new model and it seems that around 20.000 units are going to be built each year. The Panamera creates a new class and it will have no rival until Lamborghini is going to launch its new four door coupe, offering us an interesting battle.
