Dodge Challenger

Legends remain legends even when times are rough, economy is slow and fuel costs too much. Of course, a small Japanese hybrid will offer great fuel economy and will have very low CO2 emissions, but how about the looks and the pleasure of driving your car? How about the American spirit and the muscle cars that used to rule the highways from coast to coast?

Well, if you care about these, you should definitely have a look at the Dodge Challenger. Although launched in 2008, this model remains one of the best deals you can make if you buy a car this year. There are four trim levels to choose from and three engines. First, there is the 3.5 liter 24 valve V6 engine that along with a four speed automatic transmission produces 250 horsepower, then there is the legendary 5.7 liter HEMI V8 from the Challenger SRT8 engine that coupled with a five speed automatic transmission produces 372 horsepower and last but not least there is the 6.1 liter HEMI V8 that has a power output of 425 horsepower and 420 pounds-feet of torque. The exterior is sensational and the interior is great for a sports car, but you will be by far impressed by the feeling you will have when driving this car. The fuel economy is not very important because this car is not made for this. Prices start at around 23,000 US dollars for the entry level and can reach 43,000 dollars for the SRT8.
